A building in the distance had completely collapsed and he could only see its final parts submerging in the dark liquid ocean.

This made Wuji more or less frightened, not knowing when the building he was on would also collapse.

His mind was focused on the place the building had collapsed in the distance wondering if something else would happen.

[Should I stay and wait for rescue or find another way to survive? If this building were to submerge in the water, things would end up badly for me. Perhaps its time to find out more about the black liquid and find a material that couldn be corroded by it. Maybe I can come up with a method to escape when this building meets the same fate as the others.]

Wuji went back indoors and collected my stuff before coming to the rooftop balcony, there were different types of pipes from plastic to metallic.

Looking at the black liquid covering a vast area, he sighed in his heart suppressing thr fear he had started moving everything he needed back to the lower floor.

It was the location his apartment was located. He then took the metal rod to attack the remaining doors.

All the important supplies ranging from food to water were brought back to the rooftop apartment.

At the same time, he cut off the water tank on the rooftop from supplying water below.

All the remaining water in the tank was now only available for him.

All the other stuff from the houses had become his experimental material.

Despite being able to see numerous high-rise buildings in the distance, emerging from the black ocean, he could hardly reach them with even a proper method, as he was not sure if the black liquid had some terrifying monsters sleeping in them.

Looking into the distance, especially those buildings still standing in the balck water, Wuji was starting to wonder if someone like him was also panicking trying to figure out a way to survive in this place.

Thinking of leaving the building onto the water was just a thought in case the worst happened.

After all, there was unknown danger in going into the black liquid. along the way.

"Having collected numerous resources, its better to be prepared for anything that goes worse as rescue could strive any moment or might not. After all of the people had been warned earlier and evacuated then it just means Im the one left behind due to my fault."

"Besides the owner of this body died before I could cross over indicating something must have happened. What if he was sick in the end and ignored the evacuation order due to it."

"But that is not right, since everyone was evacuating why did they leave their belongings at home? In case of an emergency evacuation, even more, the things in the homes should have been in a mess, to indicate hurrying somewhere, but that isn the case."

The only thing that made him relieved was having collected enough provisions for a few years, but the water could prove problematic."

Even though Wuji had no hope of being rescued, he still received himself that the rescue might come.

He even had the idea of making some kind of boat by himself and using it to traverse the black ocean.

He was sure that at least in some other area there might be mountains or even buildings that could withstand this black ocean corrosion.

But the idea of making a raft by myself was something he had to think about carefully. He was still spread of the black ocean and wasn sure if the wood would be corroded too.

Even if he couldn he was not sure if he could be willing to sit on top of a raft on the black ocean with a feeling of something observing him from below the black liquid.

But seeing the building that had collapsed into the distance, he indeed didn have much of a choice. He had to set up some methods to ensure his safety once that moment came.

After thinking this through, he seemed to have a plan, and this made his heart more relaxed in the end.

He took out some noodles pack and tore it open and started eating it raw.

He had no other way to vent his frustrations and having made his mood calm, he started to prepare early.

"By the way where dies, does the clean tap water come from? I remember cutting off the supply from the tank, but the water in that house was still running. Hiw bizarre, wasn the power off already? Never mind, this is a good thing for me anyway."

Although Wuji was having more fears at the same time he was rational, he knew that any mistakes might cost him his life. He was already depressed by the turn of events such as finding himself in a younger version of himself in what seemed like a dangerous world.

In addition to having all his current needs sorted, he went back to the apartments to collect the necessary tools for setting up a small boat.

He targeted all the in-house doors, made of wood. But still knew the idea of crafting a boat was unrealistic, so he would spend his time on a raft first.

Everything from tables, wooden beds, and even benches were being taken by him to use, and he thus decided to make himself busy after finding that it made him distract himself from the current situation.

"Start with a single raft, and after that a boat, just in case things develop beyond my control, a raft is easy to make in the current circumstances."

He even didn spare the old plastic materials from the neighbors house, but he always had a feeling it would be difficult to use them in this place.

Some ropes were also obtained and thus he managed to set up a raft in a day. At the end of the day, he collected some materials and our them on the balcony of the house he used to live in setting them on fire.

He initially wanted to do it on the roof balcony but refused this idea, since it was the place he currently stayed and also the necessities for daily consumption kept there.

His idea was to attract some other survivors or even get help by using smoke, to send signals.

Perhaps some rescue team might be capable of saving his life if they accidentally passed by him.

Wuji then left and locked himself back on the balcony of the building, for the period the fire was burning he failed to see any kind of signal at all.

The darkness was soon approaching and the fire that had been burning, seemed about to go out, but in the weird, cold and eerie world it seemed to be out of place.

He however didn get down at all, he had already locked himself on the roof, and his view from the balcony of the building reached far into the distance.

He could feel the eerie atmosphere being brought in by the darkness, even the temperature dropped drastically, thankfully he had set up some small fire, that could still warm him up.

into the dark ocean, he seemed to have seen something moving causing some small waves but soon it disappeared, so he thought it was his imagination running wild.

But that all changed when he heard the sound of something moving on the stairs below.

It was like footsteps that had just left the water and stepping on the floor.

The sound seemed to be reflected by the walls and the moment he heard it, the first thought was something he saw moving through the water.

He quickly extinguished the flames and moved towards the walls near the rooftop gates, to gaze below the stairs.

But unfortunately, he couldn see the situation below from where he was, but his heart was beating rapidly.

He was not happy that another survivor had come, but rather had an ominous feeling about this.

He wanted to go down and observe but lacked the courage. But it didn stop the movements from being heard and it was as though the legs were slapping on the floor with every step.

"Suddenly someone comes to this building after having lightened the fire all that time without even providing another signal. This is a joke, and what is that sound, it does not resemble the movements of a human being at all. But maybe Im just being paranoid, what if its a survivor that came from the other direction with a shaft too? But that does not make sense, how did they enter this building?"

Wuji kept looking through the closed gate but couldn be able to discern anything, so went ahead and collected his metal rod, the urge to go out and confirm the situation overwhelmed his fear of the unknown.

But that did not lead him to rush towards the stairs on impulse, he calmed himself and stayed at the same place.

He was however still holding the metal rod tightly, waiting for the human to speak to him, but nothing was happening with time. making him even more anxious.

"If other humans were also around I can be able to relax, perhaps some would have even better ways to get help from this situation." as he thought this, he continued to listen.

As he thought this, he moved slightly towards the gate and opened the lock, silently before moving through the stairs downwards.

But with every step, he felt cold all over, this feeling of facing the unknown made him very tense.
